Whether it’s 20 or 32oz, while at school, practice, or games, you always have something in your bottle. Water, sports drinks, soda, or juice: we’re going to get to the bottom of it to see what was in your bottle.

“My favorite drink is Body Armor, and my favorite flavor is fruit punch,” said sophomore Trey Steagall. “The drink hydrates me and gives me energy for baseball.”

At school, Body Armor is one of the most popular drinks. It could be used for sports benefits or simply because you like the drink itself.

When playing sports, one of the most important things is staying hydrated. Sometimes, people need a little extra boost of energy and this comes from the drink you choose. Drinks designed for sports can give you protein and the energy you need to get through the day or your sport.

“Gatorade is my all-time favorite sports drink,” said sophomore Dashaun Fullwood. “The light blue Gatorade tastes the best. I drink Gatorade to stay hydrated and because it gives me electrolytes to help me in football.”

Carrying around your sports drink throughout the day could prevent tiredness or even give you the motivation to complete your work. Drinking during your sport benefits you in many ways like giving you the energy and power to get through it.

“Fruit punch Body Armour helps me the most when playing basketball,” said senior Jamelia Hill. “This drink gives me energy, nutrients, and extra support in my muscles. It helps me to be the best I can be on the court.”

Each sport takes time and energy out of you. Some people drink pre-workout, protein shakes, Gatorade, Body Armor, Celsius, Propel, Powerade, etc. You decide what to drink, and you drink what works best for you.
