Hello everyone! My name is Taliyah Daniels. I am here to get you ‘college ready’. I am an active student in the AVID program, which is Advancement via Individual Determination. AVID helps get students ready for college and gives students all the right tools to attend college. AVID also guides students on becoming “college ready”.
As my senior year begins, AVID has already been a guide in helping me become ‘college ready’. My main focus right now is deciding on the college I want to attend. But before deciding on a college, you must know, you must want to know and you must be willing to learn about college and what better way to find answers to these ideas than with a KWL Chart. In AVID, we filled out a KWL chart which helped us research college. Researching colleges that interest you will help you decide on the school you will most likely attend after high school. In the KWL chart, you list the top 10 colleges that interest you, then you research those colleges and fill the next columns. I challenge you to fill this KWL chart and allow this to be your first step into becoming college ready!
