  1. TRUNK or Treating.

The traditional candy gathering turned mobile started in the late 1990’s by churches all over the U.S. Nearest to you, you can find is at Island Baptist church which has fun houses, games, and most importantly candy. This is traditionally held October 21st from 6-7 pm.

  1.      TRICK or treating

        Don’t forget to add this to your list, the tradition of going around to different neighborhoods and getting “Tricks and Treats”  on the night of October 31st. It’s both tradition and fun for, young kids, teens, and Adults. This could be the best way to get that true feeling of Halloween night. I mean how else will you show off your amazing costume?

 

  1. Fall Festival

Family fun for all to hear, with a little sprinkle of Halloween fear. The Union Fall Festival, held this October 25th has all the candy, free food, games, fun and spooks for the family to enjoy. There’s a little haunted trail for the older ones to enjoy, and don’t forget to hop on the haunted hayride while you’re at it. Look no further than 45 Courthouse Dr, Brunswick, North Carolina 28422 for this spook spectacular, you want want to miss it!

 

  1. Maze Craze

Both affordable and fun for all ages, Columbus County’s “Maze Craze.” has candy, games and food. Go on down and have a good night with your family.

  1. Ripley’s aquarium

Spook-Aquarium sleepover is held October 26th at Ripley’s Aquarium. There will be crafts, snacks, and scavenger hunts. Enjoy a spoopy night with the fish, family, and friends!

  1. Halloween (The Movie)

High on the list is the new Halloween movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode and Nick Castle as Michael Myers. Based on the continuation of John Carpenter’s Halloween, this thriller is high on the fear factor list. Don’t forget to had it to yours for chills and thrills.

 

        

  1. Haunted Trial

Head over to Grissette Town Fire and Rescue for the scare of your life; with jump scares, clowns, the undead, and chainsaws on Friday and Saturday nights through the month of October. Don’t forget you can get food and drinks to soothe your nerves. Get ready for a night of spooks.

  1. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

Built in 1903 the Cape Fear Lighthouse has been a beacon on the coast for years. However, it has also been suspected of being haunted for many years. To this day is till suspected to have a few ghost and ghouls haunting the tall structure.

  1. The USS NC Battleship

This ship; built in 1940, housed over 100 men during World War 2 and now is suspected for housing the ghost of those who served during that time. The ship now sits in the Wilmington Harbor, and is a huge tourist attraction; but come October, it becomes one of the most haunted ships in the US. According to HauntedHistory.net one ghost that has been frequently seen is a young blonde man walking between the corridors. If you want to go anywhere for a haunted experience this should definitely be on the top on your list.

       1. Lydia’s Bridge

 

 

The story of Lydia’s bridge goes back 20 years, told about a girl named Lydia; who was coming home from a costume party one October night, died in a horrible car accident. For years Lydia would stop passing cars and ask for a ride home. She’d give them her address and get in the car. She would silently pear out the car window, not making a peep. By the time the driver would reach the given address, Lydia would have vanished.
