After hearing that fishing was picking back up again, I decided to head out and test my luck. Switching up from using my traditional vudu shrimp and popping corks, I experimented with  some two drop rigs, frozen mullet and frozen shrimp. I tried three different rigging methods to see which would catch the most. On the first rig I hooked shrimp at the top and mullet at the bottom. On the next I hooked mullet at the top and shrimp at the bottom, for the final I hooked both baits together on the two hooks. From my spot back in jinx creek, it seems that the rig hooked up with both shrimp and mullet on the hooks together produced the most bites and most catches. Seems like the winter trout want a full course meal for them to bite!
