The 20th Time’s The Charm

The Trojans defeated Laney HS 30-0 on October 27.
West Brunswick’s JV Football Team is glad to say they are having a spectacular season. So far, they have played seven games and have won all but one. On October 12th, 2017 the team played against New Hanover and became victorious with the score being 32-17. This is the first time in 20 years that any of our Football Teams have successfully defeated both Hoggard and New Hanover High in the same season.
The JV team is doing exceptionally well working with each other this year.
Austin Simmons, a Fullback for the JV Team, said, “this team we have, we’ve been playing together since we were little kids. So I think that it’s really special.”
The team agrees that they have accomplished a lot already this year because their skills grow after every practice.
Trey Bell, a Running Back and a Safety for the Team, said, “We don’t have a weakness.” The team is getting closer and closer every game.
William McRainey, a Wing back and Corner for the Team, said, “We’re not just a Football Team were a Family.”
Jay Fletcher, sophomore quarterback, handing off the ball to Austin Simmons, sophomore fullback, in the October 26th game against Laney. West went on to win 30-0.
