Christmas is the jolliest time of the year, and we are all excited to have those good sweets associated with the season. Now that we are heading into winter break, you’ll have plenty of time to sit back and enjoy plenty of Christmas sweets. Here are my top five picks:

  1. Candy Canes

This is everyone’s favorite Christmas candy. Some may prefer it in hot chocolate or by itself, either way, it’s the perfect Christmas treat. The taste is not only sweet, but it also gives you good breath. Not only do they come in peppermint, but they also have many different flavors. The most classic is peppermint but most people like cherry and spearmint too.

  1. Gingerbread Cookies

Gingerbread cookies would be described as spicy and sweet cookies. Some people’s favorite thing to do with gingerbread cookies is to decorate them. You can either get them hard or soft, either way, you get that spice or sweetness.

  1. Little Debbie Cakes

They have a great moist taste filled with cream and layered with white frosting. This is everyone’s favorite with a cold glass of milk. The green sprinkles on the top give the extra crunch that is needed. The softness of the cakes comes from the doubled layer of the cake. The shape of the cake is a tree, which is cute and festive.

  1. Peppermint Bark

If you need the most creamy, crispy, minty, and chocolatey sweet… get yourself a peppermint bark. If you like white chocolate or dark chocolate, this is the treat for you because you get a mixture of both. After hearing these flavors, many people can’t wait to get this treat. The peppermint on top gives it the extra sweetness and the crips. The top Christmas season treat goes to the peppermint bark.

  1. Brownies

This is not just a Christmas treat, it’s an all-year-round treat that everyone loves, but it seems extra-good at Christmas time. These are the most chocolatey and fudgy treats yet. A glass of milk and brownies are like heaven and it melts in your mouth.

Now that you have heard some of the top 5 Christmas sweets I hope you can enjoy these on your break. Make sure if you eat the Brownies or Little Debbie Cakes be sure to have a glass of milk to wash down with.
