What does your ideal spring break look like in Boco?
Mar 3, 2023
Spring break is right around the corner and all teens spend their time differently. Most teens that live here at the beach spend most of their time either going to the beach with friends, working, traveling, visiting family, riding around our small town, or maybe just relaxing at home.
For me, my ideal spring break would be maybe working at my summer part-time job for three to four days out of the week just so I can have some extra cash. I would also love to go to the beach any day if the weather is super nice. I honestly could stay at the beach from sunrise to sunset because it is my favorite place. I would love to spend time with my family and friends. Most weekends I am at different race tracks doing photography, so that is always fun and of course, it would be part of my spring break.
For some teens, spring break is just time for them to work; many teens have bigger responsibilities than others, like paying bills. Most of them work all week long during school nights so working during spring break is just more hours and money for them, more than having a “fun week” off of school. If you or your friends don’t drive yet, it is a bummer that you have to stay stuck at home the whole spring break, but you could be saving yourself some money by not going out and spending it like others.
The most common items on a spring break bucket list in Brunswick County are going to the beach, going to the small shops, or going out to eat. When everyone goes to the beach from school, they all meet up by the pier and hang out, listen to music, swim, and play spike ball or volleyball.
Some other ways you can spend your spring break are maybe going on a college tour if you are thinking about college, working on missing school work, babysitting to make some money, starting a new book, going on a day trip (if you drive), etc.
