Wedding bells are ringing! Prince Harry of Wales, a grandson of Queen Elizabeth II and fifth in line for the throne, has officially announced his engagement to Meghan Markle.

Meghan Markle is a successful 36 year old American actress who has been in numerous movies, such as Remember Me and A Lot Like Love. However, when the royal engagement was announced, Markle used the opportunity to announce her departure from acting and is devoting her time to being a campaign humanitarian.

Not long ago, the union of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would have been impossible to imagine. According to an article by TIME magazine, things such as Meghan’s ethnicity, religion, nationality, career, and the fact she is a divorcee go against the traditional royal protocol, which would have made the marriage forbidden in the past.
