Rock Your Halftime Show
Justin Timberlake rocks Super Bowl LII halftime show.
Super Bowl LII halftime show was one to remember. Superstar Justin Timberlake rocked the stage with a tribute to Prince, rockin’ dance moves, and even a few selfies.
Timberlake performed a huge mashup of his hits “Filthy,” “Rock Your Body,” “Senorita,” “SexyBack,” “My Love,” “Cry Me a River,” “Suit and Tie,” “Until The End Of Time,” “Mirrors,” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling.” He also performed Prince’s “I Would Die 4 U” and a tribute to the late star.
The performance was filled with set changes, dance moves, and a crazy outift choice. Timberlake performed in a button up shirt depicting a woodland scene, a camouflage suit, red bandanna around his neck, and a pair of basketball shoes. The outfit choice was pretty out there, but Timberlake made it work somehow.
Timberlake’s tribute to Prince was by far the best part of the performance. A video of the late star performing the hit “I Would Die 4 U” was projected onto a massive white sheet behind Timberlake. Prince’s voice from the video was played as Timberlake sang along. The stadium and city of Minneapolis lit up purple, another tribute to the late mogul, Prince.
Timberlake’s performance of his hit “Mirrors” was accompanied by dancers on the field carrying large mirrors. The camera above them showed the mirrors reflecting light, giving the performance a unique aspect. Afterwards, these dancers brought color to the stadium for “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”
Despite criticism over his return to the halftime show after his wardrobe malfunction with Janet Jackson at Super Bowl XXXVIII, Timberlake returned to the halftime show with a bang. The performance showcased many of his hits, new and old, and showed the world that he isn’t just bringing SexyBack, he’s bringing JustinBack.
