The eggs Benedict from the local restaurant Blueberry Grill located in North Myrtle Beach.

My family and I eat out a lot so that leaves tons of room for me to form lots of opinions on local restaurants. Eating out can be a very quick and fun thing to do with friends, family, or even by yourself. I find it very important to support local restaurants and leave them good reviews on their website to help the business out.

Duffers:

I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant in the multiple times I’ve been there. The service is always good, the waitresses always do a great job of coming back to the table after you receive your food. The menu has lots of options, even for a picky eater. If you love a Philly cheese steak I would recommend it from here.

Bagel Dock:

The Bagle Dock is a place my friends and I go very often. In the summer time ordering a bagel and taking it to the beach is a fast and easy way to bring lunch with you while it also tastes good. The bagels are always so fresh and delicious, this restaurant also has a menu with a variety of lunch and breakfast items. The bagel Dock always has fresh meat options to add to a lunch or breakfast bagel.

San Felipe:

San Felipe is one of the most popular restaurants in Shallotte. A lot of athletes go here after a game or practice with their friends. My friends and I love to go here after school or on any occasion, we never get tired of it. The workers are very friendly and are amazing at their job. The food is delicious and the queso is the best part.

Blueberry Grill:

Blueberry Grill is located in multiple locations but we have one in North Myrtle Beach and in Wilmington. This restaurant stays very busy all year and has amazing breakfast food. A lot of people go here for a birthday brunch with friends and family. Even though there is normally a wait, it is worth it.

Emma Bartlett is a 17-year-old senior starting her first semester in journalism. Bartlett spends her time between living in Shallotte with her dad and Calabash with her mom on different weeks.  Bartlett is starting her 4th season of softball at West Brunswick. “I've really enjoyed playing ball every year here, to me softball is “my sport." I've always been passionate about it because it's just something I really take pride in.” Bartlett is also currently in her 4th season of volleyball here, she enjoys volleyball because of all of the bonds and memories that come with it. Bartlett is currently interested in going to school for physical therapy. “Physical therapy sparks my interests  because rehabilitation is a big part of people's life and they need humble people to help them through things and it brings me joy knowing I can help them.” In Emma’s spare time outside of school, she enjoys going to the beach, fishing, hunting, and spending time with her friends and family. Bartlett decided to join journalism to get more involved. “I wanted to join journalism to interact with more people, get to know the school body, and get more involved.”
