West Brunswick Woman’s varsity vs New Hanover

On February 13th; the Trojan men’s basketball, women’s basketball, cheerleading,  had a senior night ceremony before their games against New Hanover High School. With 6 seniors graduating this year on the men’s  basketball team and 1 on the women’s, 6 seniors on the cheer team, the night was a success. The woman’s team won again New Hanover with a score of 56-53.

Savannah Robinson
Savannah Robinson, Broadcast Director
16-year-old junior Savannah Robinson is currently in her second semester of  journalism and serving as the broadcast director. Robinson was born in Monroe, NC before relocating to Ash. She is a part of the softball team, and was picked to go to the World Series for her recreational softball team in 2023.  After High School, Robinson plans on going to Gardner-Webb to get her teaching degree. “I want to teach in special education,” said Robinson. “Because in some schools, the people who need extra help can’t get it because they do not have the available staff.” Robinson was inspired to get her teaching degree when she saw that some kids don’t get the help they need. If all goes according to plan, Robinson will continue to play Softball in college. “I want to teach in special education,” said Robinson. “Because in some schools, the people who need extra help can’t get it because they do not have the available staff.”  Robinson's hobbies are babysitting . " I like to babysit because i get to work with kids and that is what i want to do in the future."
