Track & Field Season Preview 🏃💨

Spring’s sports season is here, which means it’s time for our Varsity Track & Field team to get in gear and bring home a win.

“For this season, I’m ready to qualify for regionals and gain the regional title,” says senior Monty Stanley.

Every sports season comes with new players. The track team has many, like senior Austin Reed. Although this is his first season running for the track team, Reed is confident in the upcoming season.

“Judging by practices, I feel our team is potential for states,” said Reed.

Seniors on the team are usually sad to leave their teammates behind but not Stanley.

“I don’t feel bad about leaving my teammates behind because I know they will be successful,” said Stanley.

Competition is the biggest factor in who wins. It’s always crucial to stay on top of your competitors and overcome any oncoming obstacles.

“I want to be better than I was last year,” Stanley says, “and practicing will make me better.”

Track team is ready for a season filled with new opportunity. The team has grown with every new season, and seniors plan to end their high school career without any regret.

“I want to end my senior year with a bang.” says Reed.

The team has been putting in work before the season, and they are ready to make all necessary precautions to end this season with a title.

“Our track team is potential for states, and for my last year, that’s what I plan to help my team do,” stated Stanley.
