Getting ready for a much anticipated Homecoming game, the school body channels their energy into creative costumes for Spirit Week. After it was kicked off on Monday Meme day, the second day “Dress as your type Tuesday” had more participation from the student body and staff as a whole.
I enjoy Tuesday the most because it’s the one day we get to act and dress like the opposite gender,” Junior Syonna Smith said. “It’s fun getting to act and ‘be’ a boy fir a day”.
A majority of the costumes came from the girls dressing up, but a few guys showed up and showed out. Outfits from girls included country guys, frat boys, football players, and even more creative ideas such as red or green flags. Some outfits that guys put on were cheerleaders, Lululemon wearers, and soccer players.
The Homecoming game against North Brunswick High School is not the only special event the students are excited about, but the Homecoming Dance that is being held in the Cafeteria for the first time in many years. In the past a Winter Formal was thrown in December, also in the Cafeteria.
