A look into the lives of students Alexa Rigby and Erin Kelly:
After high school Rigby either wants to attend NC State and become a trauma nurse or enlist in the military and be a combat medic for the army. “BCC helps me achieve these goals by preparing me for when the day comes that I have to take care of patients on my own,” said Rigby.
Kelly takes the CNA course at BCC. After high school, she plans to transfer to NC State to continue her education in nursing. “BCC has helped me prepare by allowing me to slowly start taking classes and completing my prerequisites,” said Kelly.
Overview: BCC helps ambitious students begin their journey into their future careers by offering high achieving high school students to take higher level courses that count towards their education into health care career.
