On Wednesday, September 25th, 2024, The Junior Varisty girls volleyball team went head to head with New Hanover high school. The game started at 5:30 to a slow but steady start. With the first set going steady, West Brunswick and New Hanover were staying with each other making sure one or the other didn’t get too far ahead on points. It was a close game but West Brunswick took the set leading 25-21
After this set everyone had a chance to recuperate and think about the last set. And New Hanover was not ready to give up this game. Next set they started off strong keeping the lead ahead of West Brunswick, West wasn’t able to keep up with the Hanover Wildcats and they won the second set over the Lady Trojans 25-14. The game was getting close with both the Hanover Wildcats and Lady Trojans being 1 and 1. It came down to this, the last set of the game. Both teams starting off strong, the teams were once again neck and neck and tensions were high. It was a close match but the Hanover Wildcats were able to pull off the win against the Lady Trojans, with a final score of 2-1.
