On Friday, December 6th the halls were filled with students and teachers dressed in their pajamas for the theme of “Pajama Day”. Everyone wore their favorite pajamas.
This has been a fun and festive way for our school to get into the Christmas spirit by having a day to dress up. The most popular form of pajamas seen today was everyone wearing their pajama pants that had santa, reindeer, Christmas trees, and more on them. Although, some were dressed from head to toe even having on fun slippers.
The day was sponsored by teacher Mrs. Saunders leadership class who came up with the day’s theme and a great prize of the Trojan sword was given out at lunch to one person during each lunch to whoever was most festive.
With exams, parades, and more events coming up it gave us a fun way to destress, and instead of having the preparation of a full spirit week it gave students a “Fun Friday” to dress up and take a break from wearing your regular clothes, and wearing something comfortable.
Next week, in honor of it being “Polar Express Day” the theme on Friday will be to dress like Christmas threw up on you. When the day ends, an event hosted by SGA of students will gather in the cafeteria to watch The Polar Express and enjoy popcorn and hot chocolate.
SGA is using this event to gather students together for a fun time while also raising money for a senior class gift. Every year the senior class gets a gift, this year they are still determining what to get but they want to make it memorable for the next generations.
“I really liked dressing up today,” said sophomore Blayden Ludlum. “I was comfortable and I got to be in my cute Christmas pajamas.”
