On Friday, January 31, 2025, the West Brunswick JV Men’s Basketball Team won their game against Topsail High School with a final score of 66-50.
To start the game off cheerleaders take on the court as the players run out forming two lines on their side of the court to begin their warm-up routine. As time was ticking down and the players were practicing their layups, free throws, and defensive skills, the game was finally ready to begin.
Kameron Metters led the game with his threes. And Motashi Lance came through with his layups
Kameron Metters was a standout player during the game, showing his impressive shooting skills making three’s every chance he got. Meanwhile, Motashi Lance came through with his layups, weaving through defenders and finishing strong at the rim. The energy between them was great as they communicated with each other on the court, setting each other up for success.
As the game progressed into the fourth quarter the score tightened. Leading the game to become very tense where every point counted. Recognizing a shift in the energy, Couch Oliver called a timeout to regroup his players. He Perched to them the importance of staying focused and aggressive while also motivating his players to evaluate their performance.
The boys returned to the court taking their plays seriously, tightening up their defense, and taking opportunities for fast breaks. The bench played a big role in maintaining team confidence, with teammates cheering loudly and offering encouragement throughout the whole game.
It was a great game that required determination, but the boys made it happen. Leaving the court with smiles on their faces and a sense of accomplishment. The victory not only showed their talent but also strengthened their bond as a team. It was a great game and a hard fight to win but the boys made it through.
