With new seasons of “Squid Games,” “Stranger Things” and “Wednesday” starting, 2025 looks like it might be a great year to be a couch potato and binge your favorite shows as they return to the screen.
“Wednesday”
On January 7th, 2025, Tigran Asatryan from Netflix said “The hit show “Wednesday” is returning later this year after filming wrapped in Ireland.” He says fans can expect to see lots of many familiar faces, but with the addition of new supporting cast members and a new director, there should be a lot to look forward to.
“Stranger Things”
“Stranger Things” fifth and final season has been long awaited. Kasey Moore from Netflix stated on December 19th, 2024, “that after 50 weeks, or 353 days the filming of one of Netflix’s most anticipated returning shows of 2025 is done”.
“Cobra Kai”
“The first half of Cobra Kai season six has already been released, and the final five episodes full release will be on February 13th”, stated Kasey Moore from Netflix, on December 24th. Luckily, people get to enjoy this show just before Valentine’s Day.
“Squid Games”
According to Netflix, Squid Game Season 2 dropped on December 26th, 2024 and Season 3 should be released mid-2025. With this being Netflix’s biggest show in history there should be a lot of excited viewers for the next season.
“The new Squid Games season was exciting, action-packed and entertaining to watch,” said freshman Jaden Ingold.
“Outer Banks”
Even though the Netflix hit, Outer Banks will film in the Spring of 2025 the fans are going to have to wait until 2026 for Season 5 to be released.
Sophomore Lilly Madibo,Madibo said she likes the series because she’s a teenager and wishes she could live like that, also mentioning it is cool that the series is based in North Carolina.
With a Netflix lineup like this for 2025, get your popcorn and snacks ready, for a season of binge-worthy entertainment.
