The West Brunswick men’s soccer team has been on a win streak this season. Up to a great start, they stand at a 7-3 over all. On September 11th, 2025 West Brunswick had a great win against South Columbus. Leaving our home of the Trojans field with a 7-0 win. The boys came with intensity and the desire to win. Giving it their all, they outscored their opposing team and left with even more momentum.
Even with half of the starting line up sat for the first thirty minutes of the game, to conserve energy for the important match against Laney coming up. The boys still wasted no time controlling the game and getting the ball down the field. This marked the last non conference game before their upcoming game against Laney. They started the game off strong even though they did not have the starting line up in for the first part of the game. Even with the disadvantage, they still managed to take the win.
Junior Jeremy Tapia made two of the seven goals. Getting an easy goal from an assist from junior Melvin Bautista, proving how it’s all a team effort. With the improvement of communication on the field to the way they are working together and bettering themselves every day. The team has a bright future ahead of them this season.
“Everyone has been playing together for the past four years,” said Tapia. “That’s the difference in how our chemistry has been on and off the field, and I think it helps how we perform in games.”
The home crowd of the Trojans’ field fueled energy throughout the match, celebrating each goal and cheering on the players from the opening whistle to the very last. The boys have shown incredible improvement since last season and it’s not only noticeable to Trojan fans, but fellow West players are seeing it as well.
This win wraps up West Brunswick’s men’s soccer conference schedule, preparing them for the intense games ahead. With their improved communication, strong teamwork and a deep roster the Trojans are proving they have the tools to make a serious run this season.
