Moving East to go to West

Gianni Donatelli, Staff Writer

Moving at the start of your senior year is never an easy task. There is always doubt that crosses your mind such as “Am I going to be able to catch up in my classes?”, “Will I meet new friends?”, “Will I have someone to sit with at lunch?”

It took time, but everything eventually came together. I played basketball at my old school and I plan on playing basketball at West Brunswick. Coach Johnson has been a huge help for me, throughout this process. He made sure I was in his class for third period, so I could meet friends and was very welcoming my first day of basketball. I met friends through basketball and got to know them more at the Piedmont Basketball Camp which we went to September 30th. Everyone has been friendly and kind towards me.

Change is never easy, but sometimes it is what is best. If I had to give advice to someone I would say, do not be afraid of a new adventure because that is what life’s all about. I can’t wait to see what the rest of my senior year has in store for me at West Brunswick!
