Ways To Spice Up Your Outfit
Apr 30, 2021
We all have days where we just feel like our outfits have become so boring or when we have absolutely no idea what to wear, constantly feeling like you’re wearing the same clothes all the time. With a return to five days a week, you may stress having to look for an outfit everyday. If that’s you, then this is the perfect article for you. Here’s how to spice up your outfit if you’re tired of wearing your same casual clothing.
Put something in your hair. Adding a small accessory in your hair is a quick and easy way to put your whole outfit together. For example, a small barrette, a claw clip, a scrunchie or even a headband. Put in whatever best complements with your outfit.
Accessories. They are the key to a perfect outfit. Accessories will really just add the cherry on top to your outfit. Sunglasses are the perfect accessory for a sunny day, not only that but they create an interesting and fun contrast to your outfit. You can never go wrong with jewelry: wear a couple simple rings or even fill your fingers up with rings, whatever you like best. A super fun trend with jewelry is layering different lengths and textures. You can’t forget about hats too: there are so many different kinds, so find the perfect one for your outfit of the day.
Layering. Layering your clothes allows you to get the opportunity to play around with clothes you already have in your closet. It is such a quick way to spice up your outfit and you can layer in several different kinds of ways. Throw over a flannel, oversized jacket, or a big coat for warmer weather. Another option is to layer with mesh tops and adding a cropped shirt under, or throwing a shirt over a plain long sleeve. There are so many ways to layer and most of the time everything is already in your closet, it’s about opening new ideas to your outfits.
Add color. Having a color palette in mind when looking for an outfit will help you find an outfit quicker. It’s also okay if you just have a basic white tee and some jeans because you can just add a colored jacket over it. For even more fun, try out some colored jeans.
Tuck or tie in your top. A simple tucked in or tied shirt can make your outfit look 10x better. An oversized, tucked in sweater allows you to have more outfit opportunities. If you want to go for a dressier look, put aside your jeans and tuck your sweater in a skirt instead. The same can go for oversized tees.
Styling comfy clothes. Let’s talk about comfortable clothing. You deserve to be cozy going out and still feel like you look good, so let me tell you how. One example is a jean jacket thrown over a basic tee and sweatpants, an easy way to complete an outfit and still be in style.
Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Allow yourselves to really know what you do and don’t like. Perhaps you’ll even get more into a style you won’t normally go for.
