Bailey Bayliss

Bailey Bayliss, staff writer

Sixteen year old junior Bailey Bayliss is doing her second semester of journalism. She was born in Tarboro, North Carolina. She has two older siblings, an older brother and an older sister. Bayliss also has three dogs and two ducks. She moved to Shallotte during her fifth grade year.

She loves spending time with family and friends, and going shark fishing. Her favorite thing to do is go hunting with friends and just joy-riding all across towns.

Her favorite moment was when she got her driver’s license and when she had to see off her best friend to college.

Her plans for the future are to go to college. Bayliss wants to go to NC State to pursue her dream to be a veterinarian. Bayliss’s motivation to go to college and pursue her dream to be a veterinarian is so she can have her dream job and make money so she can have all the animals on her land she wants.

“Ive always wanted to be a veterinarian because my Aunt that I was so close with was a vet tech and I have always admired her and her job.” said Bayliss. “I would always go to work with her when i was younger, she was my role model.”

Being able to write about important things going on at West is more of what she is excited to do, but she is also excited about taking pictures for games. Bayliss hopes for this semester she will get more stories out than last semester.

“I will be able to get more people informed about what is going on inside and outside of West Brunswick,” said Bayliss. “I love being part of the West Wind.”
