15 year old sophomore Bailey Bayliss is taking her first semester of journalism. Bailey was born in Tarboro North Carolina. She has two siblings; an older brother and sister. She has three dogs. Bailey moved down to Shallotte in 2018.

She spends her time hanging out with friends and family, and playing lacrosse. Her favorite things to do is go visit her hometown in Tarboro and listen to Zach Bryan.

Bailey’s favorite moment is when she made the lacrosse team her freshman year.

Her plans for the future are to go to college. Bayliss wants to go to NC State to pursue her dream to be a veterinarian. Bailey’s motivation to go to college and pursue her dream to be a veterinarian is so she can do good for herself and love the job she will have. Part of her plan is to go to college and continue to play lacrosse and still pursue her dream to be a vet.

Being able to write about sport games that happen at West Brunswick High School and being able to take sports photos was her interest in the West Wind. Bailey’s hope for this semester are getting good communication skills and getting good at write important thing for people to be able to read about and learn from.

Bailey enjoys being apart of the West Wind program because she says “It would help with communication skills”.
