Jeremiah Gore, Event Coverage and Equipment Manager
Jeremiah Gore is a 16-year-old Junior beginning his second semester in journalism. Born in Durham, North Carolina, Gore moved to Holden Beach prior to his freshman year of high school. He enjoys spending time outdoors and being with family.
In his free time, Gore enjoys listening to music and relaxing at the beach. He also has a strong interest in photography. A passion sparked when he began taking pictures alongside his uncle. Since then, he has been eager to improve his skills and deepen his understanding of it.
“For me, photography is about capturing moments and emotions. That gives me a bigger picture in my mind and in the image,” said Gore. ”I can always share my pictures with other people and capture different types of photography.”
His engagement for photography ultimately led him to journalism, where he hopes to expand his ability to tell stories through both words and visuals.
”This class has taught me so much about myself,” said Gore. “Journalism has shown me that trying different things can widen your perspective.”
Looking ahead, Gore plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to achieve a degree in architecture. His career goal is to become an architect, a path shaped by his curiosity about how these structures are made and the design format of them.
