Julian Linares

Julian Linares, Staff Writer

17-year-old Julian Linares is currently a senior. Although he was born in Wilmington he lived in Chapel Hill for the first seven years of his life before moving here. Although he does love it here, he did enjoy the greater facilities that were available in Chapel Hill.

Linares has many passions and although he no longer plays, soccer was his greatest. Among his other passions he enjoys kickboxing, musical theater, and ROTC where he gets to run 5k, flip tires, and ultimately being the first ever JROTC raiders team captain that took his team to nationals.

Linares has always had an interest in journalism but due to his busy schedule this is his first year taking it. As a senior he has some pretty big decisions ahead of him about his future. Julian has already started reaching out to people on plans to work in international intelligence. His goal is to attend George Washington University as it is 6th in schools for international intelligence. From there Linares hopes to join the CIA and have an astonishing career there.
