Sixteen-year-old Matthew Argo was raised in Calabash and has lived there his whole life. Argo has been an outfielder in baseball since he was four years old. He has been on the school team since his freshman year. Argo enjoys the preseason but cannot wait for this year's season to start.
When Argo is not playing baseball, he spends his free time playing video games with his friends. Argos favorite video game to play is 2k. His favorite type of music is rap. Argo spent this summer working at Dunkin Donuts and really enjoyed it.
Argo's plans for the future are to attend Chapel Hill when he graduates high school; however, he does not know the career he wants to pursue. He is thinking about becoming a math teacher when he grows up but is not sure.
This is Argo’s first year in journalism. The thing that sparked Argo’s interest in the West Wind is his older sister, who took the class when she was in high school. He is looking forward to being a part of the social media part of the program.
