Sep 21, 2021
As fall is approaching, most are sad to know that there will be no more hot summer beach days and fun summer nights but fall can be just as exciting, if not more. The weather gets cooler and the pumpkin season starts. Here are just a few activities that start in the fall.
- Haunted trails/houses
With the fall, comes Halloween and that means haunted houses. Love to get a good scare and even a good laugh? Try a haunted house, where you make your way through the house or trail with scary pop-ups, costumes, sound effects, and more. Even those who are easily scared should give it a try because everything is fake and no one is really a big scary monster.
- Pumpkin patches/ carving pumpkins
Everyone knows the month of October consist of pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns and there is no better time to carve a pumpkin. Carving a pumpkin is your unique way of customizing it how you want it. Some people crave a silly shaped face and some do cool designs. After carving the pumpkin, just pop the candle in the center and you now have your fall porch decorations.
- Fall festivals
With a group or with your family, visit a local fall festival for fun, outdoor games to win prizes like stuffed animals. A typical fall festival consists of tricky games, pumpkin picking, face paintings, and all kinds of junk food.
- county/state fairs
During the fall, the fairs come to town. They travel around the state, county by county for a few weeks. The fairs have some of the most exciting, exhilarating rides. Most fairs are famous for their overpriced fair food like funnel cakes, candy apples, popcorn, candy apples, and deep-fried Oreos. County or state fairs come to be some of the most fun.
- Corn maze
A fun activity to do when the weather is cool and typically around October is to visit a local corn maze with some friends. Walking through a field of corn that has been designed into a tricky maze to see how fast you can make it out.
