Zoey Boswell is a junior and this will be her second year on the West Wind staff. Boswell was born in Supply and grew up in Ocean Isle Beach. She has never moved and loves her hometown. Boswell works full-time as a waitress at Crabby OddWaters and a barista at The Brew House. To all the tourists or newbies here, Boswell encourages you to check out all the local beaches.

“I spend most of my time working or doing school work,” said Boswell. “I don't normally have extra time on my hands but when I do, I like to clean or spend time with my dog.”

Boswell is in high hopes to go to college, get a degree, have a good family, and become successful. She is very determined and has full motivation to do so.

“I've always wanted to go into the medical field,” said Boswell. “Lately I have been considering dental hygiene or pharmacy but right now, I am still undecided on what exactly I want to do.”

When starting journalism, Boswell didn't really know what she was getting herself into. Since Boswell has joined, she has stepped out of her comfort zone, and stepped into a leadership position for the West Wind. Boswell fell in love with journalism and has made lifelong friendships along the way.

“I was put in journalism because it was the only class I could take,” said Boswell. “Once I started I loved it.”

She has been coming back ever since, and continues to be involved, and is always willing to step in and help. Boswell loves the staff and loves everything that they are about.
