Zoey Boswell, Online Director
Zoey Boswell is a 17-year-old senior at West Brunswick High School. Boswell has been a part of The West Wind for three years and has attended West Brunswick all four years of high school. She has lived in Brunswick County her whole life and loves to spend her free time with her family and dog. Boswell also enjoys reading and hanging out with friends. Due to almost losing her grandmother she has grown in her faith with the help of her aunt.
“Coming into Christianity was probably one of my most memorable experiences because it definitely changed me as a person,” said Boswell. “It helped me change my mindset and be more kind to people.”
Boswell aspires to become a pediatric dental hygienist. She plans to get her associate's degree in dental hygiene at Cape Fear Community College or earn her bachelor's degree at a four-year university. She hopes to become a pediatric dental hygienist because she wants to help kids have as great of an experience as she had when she was younger.
“Specifically I want to do pediatric dental hygiene because I love to work with kids, “said Boswell. “I want to make a difference in some child's life.”
Boswell took journalism her sophomore year of high school and she was very nervous when she first joined but quickly came to love the class. Boswell made many friends throughout her years in The West Wind and encourages anyone that would be interested in journalism to join the class. She feels that it is very helpful on a social and educational level and can help you with many things in life.
“I would encourage anyone that is slightly interested in taking the class to take it because it is a great opportunity to get out of your comfort zone,” said Boswell. “You can meet a lot of new people.”
