On Tuesday, the Women’s Varsity Lacrosse team had its home game against the New Hanover Wildcats, who were able to come out on top and beat the Trojans. Both teams were pumped up for the game and ran out onto the field whenever it was time to begin.

The game began with both teams fighting for control of the ball, and later New Hanover won most of the draws, which left the Trojans chasing after the ball to stop New Hanover from scoring on their goal throughout the first quarter. The Trojans tried their best to stop New Hanover from scoring, but it was not enough and ended the first quarter 7-1

During the second quarter, the Trojans were able to score one more point, but it was not enough to catch up with New Hanover because they were able to score five more points, now making the game 12-2. The Trojans had some time to rest during halftime and get prepared for what they were going to do for the last quarter.

Once the third quarter began, New Hanover kept up their attacks on the Trojan’s net and did not let them get a chance to protect their goal, which ended this quarter 17-2. The final quarter let both teams give it their all before it was over, but the Trojans were not able to make any more goals since the second quarter, so the game ended 22-2.

In this game, New Hanover was able to show how strong an opponent they were to the Trojans, with great teamwork and dedication to beat them. Even though the Trojans had lost the game, they were still able to show push through and have a strong determination throughout the game.
