Facebook is one of the most used social media platforms. In 2004 Facebook came into being and has risen in popularity since. However, the platform has recently faced many accusations and has had controversy surrounding it.

The controversy is varied but mainly is focused on addiction, privacy concerns, and effects on mental health because of problems such as jealousy and online bullying. 

While many of these concerns do not affect everyone, concerns like privacy can affect anyone.
