Robin Daniel Skinner, better known as Cavetown, is an increasingly popular musical artist and only continues to grow in success. He gained interest in music as a result of his father, David Skinner’s, musical career. He released his debut album, “Everything Is Made of Clouds,” at the early age of 14.
He continued his musical career releasing several other albums: “Gd Vibes,” “Cavetown,” “Covers,” “Everything Is Made of Stars,” “16/04/16,” “Lemon Boy,” “Dear.,” “Animal Kingdom,” “Sleepyhead,” and most recently; “Man’s Best Friend.”
He has also made various Minecraft, advice, and VOD videos as well as having crossovers with other artists. Cavetown’s music is reminiscent of indie-pop.
I personally adore Cavetown’s music. My first introduction to him was through “This Is Home,” which still remains to be one of my favorite songs by him. Some personal favorites are “Lemon Boy,” “Devil Town,” “Talk To Me,” Juliet, Boys Will Be Bugs, and “Idea of Her.” His music can be looked at as poetic, relatable, catchy, and all around fun to listen to.
Cavetown has gained large success from his music career. He has millions of monthly streams on Spotify and his YouTube channel currently stands with 1.89 million subscribers.
Overall, his music and career are successful and seem to only continue to be. Cavetown is a talented artist who many need to start listening to: you deserve it.
