1/10 Women’s Varsity Basketball vs. New Hanover

On Tuesday, January 10th, the varsity women’s basketball team played against the New Hanover High School Wildcats at home. Junior Hailey Woodard was the top scorer, with 17 points.
“The game was one of the hardest fights yet,” said senior player Morgan Bellamy. “It was very intense and my teammates played hard and as one. The bench was involved and there was great effort and hustle from senior Emma Pruitt and junior Hailey Woodard to make it a close game.”
The Wildcats took the win, with a final score of 46-53. The team has a few more games before the post season playoff games. The team shows a lot of potential and have won 5 out of their 7 games.
