On Thursday, September 2023 our varsity Lady Trojans volleyball team faced off against Ashley in a tense game leaving fans on the edge of their seats. Our Lady Trojans took an early lead leaving the crowd cheering for more, but Ashley managed to catch up, ending the first set with a point for Ashley.

The second set was even more intense, with West again taking an early lead. Ashley just managed to meet the 25 points, but not without the Lady Trojans nearing the same number.

In the final set, our Lady Trojans gave in their all but Ashley ultimately squeezed ahead, ending the game with a final score of 0-3. While our Lady Trojans certainty have much more fighting spirit to give over the course of the season, they showed they cannot be put down easily, showing immense coordination as well as clearly being more than just a team. Sitting on the sidelines you would hear “Family!” shouted every timeout and between sets. This family might not always come out on top, but they will fight together through it all.

However, our Lady Trojans have another chance to face off against Ashley at an away game on Tuesday, October 3rd at 6:00 PM, so come support West and our Lady Trojans and help them set the record straight against Ashley!
