Being an upperclassman has many advantages, you get to participate in water wars, the senior class prank and prom. While it is a moment all high schoolers look forward to, it can all go wrong very quickly. This is how to: prom.
- Dresses, heels and all in between
Whether it’s a light blue dress or a simple black suit, formal attire is a quintessential factor of making sure you look your best at prom. Foxy Lady in Myrtle Beach is where most girls go to make the big decision and to make sure nobody at your school has purchased the same dress as you. It would be a shame if you showed up unexpectedly twinning with another girl.
- Capture the moment
Some might remember looking through family picture books at their grandparent’s house and spotting their aunts and uncles prom pictures. From group shots with friends to intimate moments with a date, these photos often become keepsakes that are looked back on for years. Group prom pictures before prom is a fun way to capture the moment. Make sure you pick a place with good lighting and space, depending on how many people are in your group it can be cluttered when planning poses.
- Reservations
After all the powdering of faces, and tying of ties, securing a reserved seat at the table will ensure peace of mind and prevent any last-minute food related decisions. Prom season is a busy time for all restaurants, especially for large parties. It is crucial to make reservations in advance to avoid long waits. Popular places to eat before prom are Boundary House, Oyster Rock and Waffle House.
- Prom-posal’s
Prom-posals are creative gestures many students use to ask their significant others and friends to prom. One example is posters, whether they are written in glitter or have a funny inside joke, they are the most common way to prom-pose. Another way is to buy their favorite drink, or food and write a cute note written “PROM?”. No matter how you ask, it is an essential part of the high school prom experience.
- Tickets and Dues
Prom tickets cost around $50-70 depending on the venue your school decides to host prom. In previous years you could only pay using cash, but now we have transferred through the app GoFan to receive an individual prom code for your ticket. There are no longer physical tickets, which voids the chance of losing tickets.
The creativity and effort that go into these prom-posals reflect how much the event means to students, making prom not just about the dance itself, but about the fun and memorable moments leading up to it.
