The Trojans took a 3-0 loss to South Brunswick last night in what was a fantastic game between the notorious rivals. Defense was led by Junior Alex Adcock who prevented countless South goals, and solidified West’s defensive line. West keeper Joi Sturdivant had fantastic saves, keeping West in the game. The offense was led by Kate Carson, who applied constant pressure among South’s defensive backs. Even with shots on goal, the Lady Trojans were never able to connect. South had minimum mistakes on defense, leading to a West shutout.

For seniors such as Kate Carson, Raina Gunther, Greer Josselyn, Estephanie Cruz, and Jessica Barba, this will be their final conference soccer game for West. With an overall record of two wins and thirteen losses, it was a difficult year for the Trojans who suffered from the graduation of many starting seniors the year prior. The Lady Trojans have their first playoff game on Tuesday, May 7th, vs. Union Pines located in Cameron, NC.
