The annual Polar Plunge non-profit charity event operated a little differently this year, just like most things in today’s world. As a result of the pandemic, there were fewer attendees, but that did not stop Steve Cason and Stacey Dedinas from helping raise money for Special Olympics Delaware.

“Stacy and I are normally organizing and plunging to support the Special Olympics every Super Bowl weekend,” said Cason. “This year, the Polar Bear Plunge has been shifted to personal, virtual plunges because of Covid. So Stacy and I have decided to take the Plunge on OIB this year, continuing to support Special Olympics. It will be my 21st Plunge.”

Cason and Dedinas are originally from Delaware but are currently working remotely in town and invited people from the local CrossFit gym to join them in the Plunge. Although the event was not nearly as big as previous years, people can still donate to the cause using the link below.
