Ava Williams

Ava Williams, Staff Writer

16 year old junior Ava Williams was born in Wilmington, NC and grown up in Holden Beach, NC her entire life. Williams has one sister in the 12th grade whom she loves to shop with. While a Junior here at West Brunswick she has participated within the swim community representing the Gators and West Swim team.

“Gators have always been a part of my life and swimming became one of my favorite pastimes,” said Ava. “When I got the chance to compete at the High school level I jumped on the opportunity”

When she isn’t at swim practice or school she enjoys watching films and taking care of her plants. She is passionate about reading books and searching for shells on Holden. Her favorite food is tiramisu and she loves listening to Hall and Oates.

Williams plans after high school are to attend a 4 year university, though is not quite sure what she will major in. She has always loved writing and photography and thought that the West Wind would be a good fit for her. She hopes to have a great semester and take some interesting photos of sports and the community.
