Kennedy Dunaway is a 15-year-old sophomore. She was born in Edgewater, Maryland but moved to Shallotte, NC when she was 5 years old.
In her free time, Dunaway enjoys reading, watching movies and playing with her dog, Hazel. She also spends a lot of time with her family, specifically her nieces and nephew.
Although Dunaway isn’t entirely sure what her goals for the future are, she plans to go to college at East Carolina University and possibly major in medical science.
“I’m just interested in the science behind how the human body functions,” said Dunaway.
Dunaway decided to take journalism after hearing about the class from her friends. Dunaway is currently in her first semester of journalism and is excited for the opportunities the class can bring her.
“I wanted to take journalism because I like that you can be creative," said Dunaway. "I wanted to get more involved with my school. I’m looking forward to trying something new.”
