This event was a celebration of inclusion, teamwork, and school spirit. It was great to see students from all different schools come together to support each other and create a good atmosphere. From the students who volunteered who helped organize and set up, to the excited participants who tried their hardest during the run, every person played a role in making the day a success. Events like this remind you how powerful unified events can be in building stronger and more caring communities.
“We wanted to put on unified events throughout the year and my adapted class set out to make this event happen,” said Adaptive P.E. teacher Ms. Tilley. “We were able to get the North Brunswick life skills class to participate also, which made the event even more special.” The adaptive PE class, leadership, unified members and others who participated in the run made this event awesome, and we cannot wait for the run next year.
