Braxton Howard, staff writer
Braxton Howard is a Sophomore at West Brunswick. She isn’t in any clubs, but she is on the JV cheer team. She believes that being on the team will help her build strong relationships and give her leadership skills that she may need in the future.
“I enjoy being on the cheer team because we all work together and work hard.”
Said Howard. “I’m so excited to see how the team excels this year during football and basketball season.”
Howard claimed that she would need those skills for careers like being a RN (Registered Nurse) or hairstylist. Howard would like to go to college after graduating High School. She is interested in UNC-Chapel Hill and Appalachian State University. Howard would like to participate in the medical program at Chapel Hill to be an RN. She would also like to follow through with the Appalachian Beauty School that is offered at App State in Boone, North Carolina.
“It’s hard to choose a career as a sophomore because you learn about so many paths during highschool,” Howard said. “I think one of those two would be good for me.”
Howard has plans for writing about updates on the COVID vaccine and hot news topics. She hopes to make good grades throughout the 2021-2022 school year.
“I would like to make good grades for this year, so I can work towards going to Chapel Hill or App State,” said Howard. “I chose journalism because it was my last option, but I’m excited to see if I end up liking it or not.”
