Noah Farris, Staff Writer
Noah Farris is a 17 year old junior from Ash, NC. Farris attends both West Brunswick High School and Brunswick Community College. When he has free time he enjoys writing fictional short stories and poems.
“When I started my first BCC writing class, I had a teacher who really gathered my interests in reading and writing,” said Farris. “He based his content around creative thoughts, so there were no prompts or specific topics, so it was all our own ideas.”
Farris is a proud member of the wrestling team. He’s been wrestling for five years in total.
Outside of the mat room, Farris shows his Trojan Pride by journalism, as part of the West Wind. This is his first year on staff. Farris joined the class to improve his writing and to make things for people that are having a hard time. Farris says one of his writing goals is to pick you up when you fall and help you get through the day, and he hopes that the West Wind will help him in this goal to help more people.
“It’s more just talking about things that aren’t as common or are often overlooked that most people wouldn’t even have a second thought about,” said Farris.
Farris hopes to one day move to the city as he finds country life too slow and quiet. He has aspirations of one day being a high school teacher.
“I’ve always wanted to go to college,” said Farris. “I think just being able to go there and be in that environment would be awesome.”
