Sam Anderson, Multimedia Creator
Sam Anderson is a 17 year old senior in her second year of journalism. Anderson enjoys spending her free time hanging out with friends, playing video games, cooking, and analyzing her favorite songs. Music has made a large impact on Anderson’s mindset and perspective. She holds pride in the progress she has made during her mental health journey, and the lessons she teaches herself on a day to day basis.
“My proudest moment is definitely when I pulled myself out of a really dangerous headspace. I took a whole year to teach myself how to treat my mind and body with kindness, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I did it by myself, for myself, and it was the hardest thing I have ever done.”
Anderson has always been in touch with her creative side. While being a part of this year’s team, she hopes to increase her skills in photography and self expression. Photography is a long-time hobby of Andersons, and she’s always had plans to make it a big part of her life.
“In elementary school I used to take pictures of my webkinz and post them online, it’s the first thing I remember being passionate about. Later on I became the designated photographer for my friends, whether it be photos of them or their cars.”
