Friends and family walking into the Brunswick Community College indoor pool awaiting a fun and thrilling meet, chlorine was in the air and wet floor signs spread around. Many smiles and cheers filled around the pool causing the swimmers to make a splash.
All the teams pushed their way through the water making it seem like they have webbed hands and feet. The crowd stood up every time when two swimmers were head to head at the finish line. Swim is all about the seconds on the clock. Each swimmer craves to have the fastest time.
All the seniors skimmed across the water to make all their family and friends that came out to watch them for senior night. A few tears were shed as all the seniors from each of the high schools walked along the pool as their couch talked about how proud they were of them and how they were grateful they got to coach them into being who they are today.
West went up against: North Brunswick, Topsail, and South Brunswick.
According to SwimCloud, the team that took first place over all was Topsail winning with: 11 Gold, 10 Silver, and 10 Bronze. Having a total score of 311. Finishing second place was South with: 8 Gold, 5 Silver, and 3 Bronze. Having a total score of 227. Third place going to West with: 3 Gold, 4 Silver, 5 Bronze, and with a score of 210. Coming in fourth place was North with: 1 Silver, 1 Bronze, and with a score of 87.
All the swimmers pushed hard out there and it was such a fun event to watch. Definitely a reminder to go to a swim meet next time you get a chance. Just bring an extra pair of clothes.
