On Thursday, November 30th, the theater two, three, and four classes sang their hearts out for their “Magical Milestones” performance, in which they performed songs beginning in the 1930s with the release of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” up through the current decade with the performance of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from the hit movie “Encanto.”

The performance consisted of lots of variety in terms of song choice and the division of songs amongst the students, such as groups, duets, and solos. The most prominent of these are “Santa Fe,” sung by senior Tiffany Guin, and “At Last, I See the Light,” sung by Alexis Mullins and Robert Walling.

The theater class worked very hard on this performance. Learning more about set design and how to sing, amongst others. While being able to sing familiar classics that we all know and love. For many of the students, this was their first time singing in front of a live audience.

“It wasn’t my first time singing in front of a crowd, said sophomore Betty Dykes, but it was still  nerve-wracking.I don’t think you ever get used to singing in front of a crowd or even your peers, but I had a good time doing it.”

After the performance was said and done, the cast unanimously agreed that the performance had gone well and was a great ending to the semester.

“I loved performing it [the play] because seeing the smiling faces of kids in the audience when they get to see their favorite princess or character, said sophomore Hailey Crusenberry.” Seeing how big of a smile and the excitement in their faces brings me joy. I mainly enjoyed performing because my sister absolutely loves Disney, and hearing her in the audience sing along and give me little waves makes me proud to perform.”
