Campbell Cheers, Staff Writer

Campbell Cheers is a fifteen-year-old sophomore who is just starting her first semester in Journalism- Newspaper. She is excited to start her career in high school journaling because it will push her out of her comfort zone. When not spending time on the school newspaper, Cheers enjoys participating in the club, DECA, here on campus. Generally, she keeps up an active lifestyle, including working at a candy shop in Holden Beach and playing on a rec softball team.

“When I’m not at school I like to hang out with friends,” said Cheers. “We usually go to the beach, Wilmington, or Myrtle Beach.”

Cheers is excited to participate in journalism because it will help her sound professional when writing and interviewing people. Having this experience will give her certain skills she can take with her to college, including, professional writing, talking to others, building conversation, and photography. After high school, Cheers plans to attend UNC Wilmington in hopes to become a dental hygienist.

“It is a good way to prepare for my career because I will be talking to many different people and it will give me good experience with talking to my peers and my superiors,” said Cheers.
