Destiny Noblitt is a 17 year old junior who is currently in her fourth semester of journalism. Noblitt was born in Marion, North Carolina but was raised in Holden Beach. Noblitt loves to write, spend time with nature and reading in the sun in her free time.
“I've always had a love for nature,” said Noblitt. “When I was younger I was always out playing in the woods and exploring. I've always had a love for animals, when I was younger I had tons of pets, including a baby bull, and I’m actually in the process of getting chickens and ducks!”
Noblitt was a random placement in journalism, but found a deep love it through photography and getting to share her writing. Journalism has given her the opportunity to find confidence and deeper love for her writing.
“I was a little nervous about the class at first but quickly fell in love with the class,” said Noblitt. “You have to understand that sophomore year was honestly class of 2024’s first real year of high school, but being a part of journalism quickly became almost a family environment with tons of support and creative mindsets all around.”
