Rilee Bartenfeld is a sixteen-year-old junior. Bartenfeld moved to Holden Beach when she was three-years-old from Thomasville, North Carolina. She enjoys spending her time hanging out with friends, creating pinterest boards, going to the beach and listening to podcasts.
“I love being with friends and going to the beach, everything's better with friends.” said Bartenfeld. “Anytime I go anywhere I have to bring my two closest friends. Even if it’s just a doctor appointment, I'll always bring them.”
Bartenfeld has attended West Brunswick since her freshman year. This will be her second year in journalism. She found interest in the class after talking with friends who have taken the class previously.
“I love the idea of this class,” said Bartenfeld. I think it's such a good way to get more involved and a really good creative outlet. I'd recommend it to anyone thinking about joining.”
After graduating from high school, Bartenfeld plans to pursue a career in the psychology field. She plans to attend Brunswick Community College to get her associates’ degree in general psychology before attending a university to get her masters degree.
“My plans for the future have changed so much from what they were a year ago,” said Bartenfeld. “My plans are always changing and I can't guarantee that they won't change again by the time I graduate.”
