Christmas break can be one of the most exciting times of the year to everyone, but also can be a little boring, with so much free time on your hands, consider watching these classic films and shows!

Shows

    • Stranger Things Although “Stranger Thingsis a spooky Halloween special, this show is so captivating that is enjoyable all year. Having the second season just aired at the end of October. November is the perfect time to start binge watching this 80’s based show.

 

  • The Office A hilarious and enjoyable show that makes you want to watch all 9 seasons of  the mockumentary that follows the day-to-day lives of a group of humorous co-workers in their workplace.
  • The Goldbergs Another 80’s based show that captures home videos from the main character’s childhood  home and school life–on “The Goldbergs, the family is so funny and has a way of doing things that makes this show a must-watch.
  • Riverdale

Based on the Archie Comics, “Riverdale”is a perplexing and cliff-hanging show that leaves you on edge with bizarre conflicts as high school teenagers and their families discover new relationships, uncovering their dark pasts and uncertain future.

  • Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey:

An intergalactic experience that explores the boundaries of stars, historical locations and C-G enabled cosmic calendar, Cosmos is a great show to discover a new scientific approach to our world with the iconic Neil deGrasse-Tyson.

 

Films:

  • Back to the Future Series

A time hopping series that visits the 1950’s to the 2000’s featuring a      scientist and a teenager that travels to find his younger parents to make sure they fall in love, or the teenager will cease to exist.

  • Doctor Strange

A Marvel Comics production of a man whose life drastically changes after a devastating car crash. He is able to heal himself, gain powers through his super intelligence, and become the most powerful sorcerer in existence.

  • Flatliners

Five students conduct a dangerous experiment to find the mysteries that lie beyond the confines of life, by stimulating them through perilous trials to visit the other side.

  • Polar Express

A traditional movie that explores the imagination of Christmas. It depicts many children believe in the spirit of the holiday by taking a magical train ride all the way to the North Pole to visit Santa Claus himself.

  • National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

An all time favorite about a man wanting to have the best Christmas ever with his family, but quickly becomes awry when multiple interruptions come about when his cousin comes abruptly to spend the holiday with him.

 

In Theaters:

  • Star Wars VII: The Last Jedi

Coming out December 15th, “Star Wars VII: The Last Jedi, is a follow up to “The Force Awakens”, a continuation of the return of Luke Skywalker and Rey developing her new found abilities. This is the last ever film to appear Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia)making this movie memorable and hard to forget.
