With winter sports coming to an end, it is time for spring sports to begin–the beginning of a new season with a new coaching staff for the Varsity Women’s Soccer team. The team had four wins,  seven loses, and one tie in conference for the 2016-2017 year and went to the second round of playoffs.  The players and new coaching staff are hoping for an even better season.

Last season, there was no junior varsity team, creating a harder competition. This season, the new coaching staff has decided to have JV. Tryouts were extended in order to give everyone an equal opportunity to play.

“We got a lot of returning players for the varsity team and I am looking forward to having a JV team this year, which we didn’t have last year so I’m very excited about getting that started again,” said  Coach Mike Adcock

This year, the coaching staff, has grown and become more involved with the team.

“There is a lot, more coaches involved this year, bringing in different types of styles of play and fitness tests,”

said junior Jessica Barba.

The team has high hopes for an even better season than last year.

“I think we are going to do good this year,” said Greer Josselyn, “We are going to go a long way.”
