Top Picks:

QB:Deshaun Watson

Expect Deshaun Watson to have a good opening week of the season as the Texans face off against the  Saints week one in what should be a shoot out between to explosive offenses.

HB:Saquon Barkley

After Saquon Barkley’s incredible rookie season expectations are high for him coming into his second season and with the loss of star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr the Giants will depend on Barkley to carry the load on offense

HB:Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara is is another player who’s value went up during the off-season when fellow Saints running back Mark Ingram left to join the Ravens giving Kamara sole reign of the back field.

WR:Deandre Hopkins

Hopkins has finished in the top 2 for fantasy WRs in the last 2 seasons and this season should be no different for one of the best WRs in the NFL.

WR:JuJu Smith-Schuster

This off-season has not been a kind one for the Steelers losing star players Antonio Brown and Le’veon Bell. This means that the Steelers will be looking for someone to fill that void and who other than JuJu Smith-Shuster who spent his first two seasons in Antonio Brown’s shadow will now get all the targets he needs to become a true number one WR.

TE:Zach Ertz

Zack Ertz is coming off a season in which he broke the TE records for targets and receptions. The Eagles showed that they will give Ertz all the opportunities necessary to be the number one TE and for a fantasy owner that’s all you can ask for

Flex:Christian McCaffrey

McCaffrey was a nightmare to face last year especially in ppr as he caught over 100 passes out of the backfield for the Panthers. It seemed like McCaffrey was involved in everything the Panthers did on offense last year and this year should be no different.

K:Will Lutz

Kickers may be the hardest to predict in terms of fantasy but expect Will Lutz to put up good numbers as the Saints offense is one of the best in the league.

DEF:Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens couldn’t ask for an easier matchup week 1 as they play the Miami Dolphins a team many project to be among the worst in the league and with Ryan Fitzpatrick Quarterbacking for the dolphins there should be plenty of opportunities for turnovers.

Sleepers:

Sam Darnold:

People seem to forget just how good Sam Darnold was as a rookie last year being overshadowed by the star that is Baker Mayfield. Look for Darnold to have a breakout season with the Jets bringing in RB Le’veon Bell who is one of the league’s best receiving backs and will open up the passing game for Darnold.

Curtis Samuel:

Curtis Samuel in the second half of the season for the Panthers was targeted 57 times we could see him put up great numbers this season if he can stay healthy.

Mark Andrews:

TightEnds are a Quarterback’s best friend and when it comes to Mark Andrews and Lamar Jackson it is no different. Mark Andrews finished second last season in yards per reception last season at TE he could be a good pickup for teams in need of a TE.

Bust:

Todd Gurley:

I know this may seem like a shock that Gurley is on this list after being the best fantasy RB for the past two years but last year in the playoffs and Superbowl we saw Gurley disappear from the Rams offense. We later found out Gurley has Arthritis in his knee so don’t expect the Gurley of the past as he will see less touches than the previous years.

Eric Ebron

Eric Ebron after being traded away from the lions had a great 2018 season catching 13 touchdowns but with the shocking retirement of Andrew Luck and the emergence of fellow TE Jack Doyle expect Ebron to struggle to return to form in 2019.

Derrius Guice:

Guice got a lot of hype during the preseason last year until he tore his acl but be careful when putting him in your lineup as he is still recovering from his injury and is sharing a backfield with Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson who are sure to take some touches.
