Starting the holiday season off, on Monday December 8th the start of spirit week is pajama day. It’s great to see people in the Christmas spirit, in class and walking down the halls. The holidays don’t feel the same as they used to, the nostalgia isn’t the same as we get older. We find the want to participate in activities the way we used to but when our whole school comes together and tries for spirit week it really brings us together, we get that feeling of Christmas.
Although it might seem cringy to dress up for spirit week its some of the last times in our life we get to do something together as kids, as you walk down the halls you see people in their favorite pajamas, some even wearing the pjs they slept in, others wearing a new cute set.
“I think that it’s important to participate in school because we only do it once in life and it’s nice to see everyone come together for something.” Said Sophomore Caylee Beulak, “ I love how people aren’t scared to show their school pride, they’re showing they care for our school.
Spirit week is something you should look forward to. We get to go to school but with a twist, it makes it fun to dress up, even teachers participate in it. Pajama day is the best one you can take if you wake up and not even change and have an excuse to be comfy all day, and you get to show off all of your nice pj sets or bottoms.
So next time you think spirit week is lame or boring remember, you only live once and to live in the moment and do something with your school while you can.
